Yogacharini Amrita is a Yoga and meditation master and educator. She has worked with hundreds of needy people and helped them develop a healthier mental, emotional and spiritual state. She is a graduate from S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai, India. She has also completed Mountaineering Course from Directorate of Mountaineering & Allied Sports, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. She is a qualified, certified and experienced spiritual guide and Yoga master in the tradition of RishicultureAshtanga Yoga taught by Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri of Pondicherry, South India. Yogacharini literally means "one who is fit to guide others on the Yoga path by his/her own example”. She is a certified senior Yoga teacher with World Yoga Alliance. She is also a Buddhist Vipasana Meditation teacher trained under several masters from the remote forest monasteries in Kandy, Sri Lanka. She has been a wandering ascetic and has lived in jungles, caves, deserts, river-sides and in the high mountains of the Himalayas and done sadhana (spiritual practices) for many years, where she met with many saints & enlightened Yogis. She has been practicing & teaching Yoga for more than 20 years in different parts of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Uganda in East Africa and many other countries in the African continent. She currently lives in Manali, in the Indian Himalayas, the mystic land of meditation, contemplation and enlightenment. She considers herself a Universalist and the essence of her teachings covers several paths, traditions and all major religions of the world.
